My students need the opportunity to experience interactive science curriculum at Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena! This field trip will support student learning and will greatly impact their learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a class full of energetic, curious, and compassionate first-graders. My students love to explore, ask questions, read, play, and dance. They are learning about community involvement, and always find ways to brighten each other's day. They love helping and learning.
Our school is located near Downtown Los Angeles, California.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am eager to provide my students with quality and equitable learning materials and opportunities. I look forward to promoting creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
Our first-grade team has created wonderful integrated units of study for our students, which combine literacy, English Language Development, science, and math, throughout the day.
This field trip will support student learning in all areas, particularly science, as the museum provides a truly hands-on experience with life and physical science for kids.
Their visit to the museum will greatly impact their learning and be an experience from which all students can draw, despite prior gaps in knowledge.
Students will remember this trip for a lifetime! Send our students to the Kidspace Children's Museum in order to support their science instruction!
