This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second, third, fourth and fifth grade, gifted, Title 1, science students will appreciate your generosity beyond words. My students are very special because they are outside the box thinkers that are very curious about the world around them. They are hungry for knowledge, which drives my passion.

My students are challenged to be self guided, independent learners and then spread their knowledge to others.

I teach them to "Raise the Bar", by creating projects of their choice to answer questions their peer have. They will use the colored pencils, tape, clip boards and other supplies to help their imagination run wild. When a student is ready to report their findings to a question and share their project, it is their turn to be a teacher! Students love learning from each other. These science themed rewards will be given to students after their presentation. Of course, they may choose a Ring Pop or Takis if a snack is preferred, a small treat for big learners!

My goal is to keep these young scientists happy and curious life long learners!
