My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
Most students benefit from engaging in hands-on, interactive, and fun activities.
One way to do this is to allow them the opportunity to act as real-life scientists and perform experiments. Science is a hands-on, project-based subject that gets kids excited to learn!
My Project
The addition of hands-on materials for Science will be a great addition to any classroom. Science is the one subject where students get to do fun, interactive, and hands-on experiments like real scientists do! They will be able to use the classroom aquarium to not only learn how to care for a pet, learn what animals need to survive, but also learn leadership skills while doing so. The activity games will aid in their understanding of life cycles for many different animals in a fun and exciting way. Children learn best by "doing" and Science is the one subject where this is most
