My Students
The students that I teach are at a Title I school. They are eager to learn and highly enjoy engaging in i-Ready (an online source for Reading and Math). They also enjoy being engaged in activities that are hands-on as a means of providing an alternative way of reaching all learners. Science lessons require students to complete inquiry activities that provide more knowledge about the standards and objectives students must learn.
The inquiry activities completed allow students to be actively engaged in lessons that spark their immediate interest.
My Project
These materials (metal tins, safety glasses, plastic bowls, marbles, and paper cups) will assist my students in engaging in inquiry activities that will expand the students' learning in science. With the number of materials requested students will be able to engage in smaller groups to explore. Students will be able to engage in hands-on activities that will create academic conversations that stretch beyond their imaginations. Each week the resources used to complete inquiry activities will assist the students in learning and being more engaged in science skills that will support their learning and spark their interest and love of science.
