Help me give my students notebooks. Keeping a notebook helps students organize their scientific observations and data, process their data, and maintain records of their learning for future reference.

My Students
Carl Sagan wrote, “The beauty of a living thing is not the atoms that go into it, but the way those atoms are put together.” Help the future physicists, nuclear engineers, chemists, forensic scientists, and astronomers in our classroom discover the wonders of the world!
With your help, we can acquire the tools and skills to reach our goals.
My Project
My project will provide notebooks, tape, scissors and highlighters to middle school science students. Students will keep their notebooks in the classroom and use them daily for their investigations.
Keeping a notebook helps students organize their observations and data, process their data, and maintain a record of their learning for future reference.
The process of writing about their science experiences and communicating their thinking is a powerful learning device for students. And the student notebook entries stand as a credible and useful expression of learning. The notebooks are a great resource for students to engage in scientific practices and reflect on their learning and growth.
