My Students

When you walk into any period day in our classroom you will see 30 smiling and excited faces. My students come from many different cultures and backgrounds. They even come from different boroughs in New York City! Many students are English language learners, and some are the first in their families to get a proper education here in the United States. We are one of the most diverse schools in the NYC DOE.

If you ask any of my students what their favorite subject is they will undoubtedly tell you, Science!

My students love learning about new things especially science that affects them locally in their everyday lives. What they love most is learning in and out of the classroom.

My Project

For my students senior year, they need to plan and conduct a scientific experiment. My students are doing such amazing experiments such as measuring heart rate, brain activity, blood pressure, impact absorption, aquaponics/hydroponics, and reaction time.

With all of these amazing experiments happening, students need special instruments to collect data!

These scientific instruments will be used in order for students to collect rigorous and informative data that they will be able to analyze. Students with then present their findings to a panel of staff members and scientists in order to graduate.
