Scientific Calculators for Students

Help me give my students Scientific Calculators so the students are able to do calculations more effectively without having to go through hoops to keep up with updated technology that other classes have for Math.

My Project

In comparison to the current calculators that I have which are the Casio f-260, the scientific calculators allows the students to input correct calculations without the need to do parts of math equations individually. Students can enter what they need and figure out what the solution is with ease as well as make better use of their time instead of being frustrated with the aspect of the low efficiency of the calculator. The scientific calculators will make a huge difference in learning because it can be used throughout the courses of Integrated 1, 2 and 3. The Casio f-260 is very limited in terms of usability when the mathematics get more difficult. The Scientific calculators allow for easier calculations and time efficiency.

My goals is to give the students opportunities to succeed in class with better calculators.

This allows students to be efficient in Math class and be successful in the use of technology. Having these calculators will be a start to eventually give students opportunities to be successful with updated technology that students are used to or will potentially learn about.

All of my students are dedicated and hard-working towards being successful as well as doing well in Math class. I've seen the students frustrated with not having efficient technology to do the mathematics in comparison to other classes. My hope is that not only my current students but also incoming students who will have my class will have access to the technology to succeed and do well in math instead of struggling and possibly feeling defeated due to the lack of updated technology. My students are respectful of technology and will be very grateful for having updated scientific calculators to succeed in class. Even with 25, I will do what I can to support my students.
