My Students
My students are AMAZING! They are part of a STEAM magnet program. "The STEAM education is an approach to teaching and learning that integrates the content skills of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Along with content knowledge, a strong STEAM program establishes student behaviors, which include engagement in inquiry, logical reasoning, collaboration, and investigation. The goal of STEAM education is to prepare students for post-secondary study and the 21st century workforce."
My students love learning and questioning what they learn to gain a deeper understanding.
They love to have a voice in the depth of knowledge they learn. Even with the magnet program at our school we still need various resources to reach our goals.
My Project
Our class is in need of 10 Sciencesaurus books. These books will be a great resource for our Science class. This is "an illustrated resource addresses life, physical, earth, and environmental science, along with coverage of such key science topics as scientific investigation and working in the lab."
Students easily locate the information they need to help them establish a firm scientific base.
These books will be used in every unit we study including chemistry and atomic structure to life science and the ocean zones. We are in need of these books to not only introduce information, but to also reinforce and expand students' science knowledge.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
