Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are so eager to learn. This stems from not having resources, education, or finances available to them to expand their learning outside of the classroom. Our students are mostly low income, inner city, and English Language Learners. We have 100% free breakfast and lunch for our students.

As teachers we are dedicated to bring education to our students beyond the standard state curriculum.

This is mostly with science, math, and reading. We are hoping to encourage students to think beyond school and in turn will be a part of their future with college and career.

My Project

I have taken courses to become LEGO certified. I would enjoy extending my science lessons to include my LEGO teachings with my students. Children of all ages love LEGOS and bringing that joy into learning would benefit my classroom.

Students need more materials now in the classroom due to COVID restrictions.

Safety is our number one priority. I want my students to learn in fun and engaging ways while being safe. These STEAM Park LEGO kits are easy to sanitize and my students will be ecstatic to use LEGOS during our science lessons! STEAM is a large part of my science lessons. My students greatly enjoy those activities. They would be thrilled to use LEGOS for our STEAM activities.
