This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The science tools in this PreK project will allow my students to invent, create and experiment with a variety of hands on science materials. The Simple Machines Activity Set will allow my students to explore the properties of wheels, pulleys and scales. My students will work with the magnets and magnifying glasses to discover new materials in their environment.
All sorts of things can happen when you're open to new ideas and playing around with things.
My PreK children will use the tweezers and bowls to sort and classify items, while gaining fine motor skills. They will enjoy discussing the materials in the 'Simple Machines' book. And finally, the matching game will help students improve their visual memory and classifying skills.
