Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Minds
My students need 1 paper and 1 plastics investigative kit to provide more lab experiences to understand the connections between Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Remember what it was like to dream of your future? “What is not started today is never finished tomorrow, " Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said. Help my students get a head start on fulfilling their dreams!
We are a Title 1 school in the heart of Texas.
My students are inquisitive, energetic and curious. We are a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics magnet middle school. My students want to grow up to be mechanical engineers, environmental engineers, roboticists and the like.
My Project
Although my students live in the seat of one of the biggest scientific and engineering communities in the region, they rarely have the opportunity to experience real hands on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) projects. We aim to provide our students with the opportunity and exposure needed to pursue their dreams. With the paper and polymer investigatory laboratory materials, my students can truly begin to give more data based answers to the question: "Paper or Plastic?" These investigatory kits will allow the students to explore and compare and contrast processes and resources needed to recycle paper and plastic, respectively.
Inquiry investigations are vital to ensure that students realize their dreams.
Encouraging students to be more literate in science, technology, engineering and mathematics will not only have a positive impact on the students, but will provide a boost to future technological innovations that may impact us all.
