Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are creative, active, loving, full of questions, and inspiring! They absolutely enjoy fun, hands-on activities in our inclusion classroom.

They are active learners who need hands-on activities throughout the day in order to allow them to explore and interact with one another.

Early Childhood Education is the focus of our school. We offer bus services that bring students from all over the city with different backgrounds and challenges. About 90% of my students come from low-income families. Although my students are exposed to different learning strategies and are constantly on the go while learning, they need hands-on activities and a safe environment that allows them to focus and emerge as strong readers.

By having this extra support we will be able to provide them with opportunities to meet their needs. These preschoolers are really an amazing group that fills my day with their smiles, questions, and original ideas.

My Project

A science table will allow my students to explore and learn together. This wooden table will be used to experiment with different science materials and tools and they will have a designated space to learn specifics related to science.

The students will be able to organize their materials and equipment on the science table shelves and the additional mirrors will provide perspective when looking in different ways at the materials that they will be experimenting with.

This science table offers the perfect height for little scientists by offering the opportunity to reach and move around freely.
