I have a classroom that is full of boys and girls who are excited and eager to learn! The students love hands-on activities that challenge their minds, and they love working with their classmates to solve problems. They have great imaginations, love to think outside of the box, and are excited to learn. My students are mostly from the same area, and they have been friends since they started school. Since our school is a charter school, the students are from different parts of the parish as well as different parishes in Louisiana.
My Project
In this project, I am asking for various science and social study activity tubs, board games, matching games and folder games. We spend a substantial amount of time learning about animals, plants, and the solar system in Science. We also spend time learning about The World and United States in Social Studies.
I plan to use the extra activities during small group instruction to help the students gain a better understanding of social living skills.
The students will be able to use their reading, such as context clues, compare and contract, and other skills while using the activity tubs and folder games.
More than half of students from low‑income households
