My Students
I am blessed to teach a group of energetic and motivated students. These kids thrive on inquiry-based science.
I am also blessed to have a parent base with high expectations for their kids.
It is really obvious from the students that parents place a great emphasis on progress in the academic arena.
Reading Science World is a way for​ students to own their learning by taking the information provided by the instructor and use it in a way that is meaningful to them.
My Project
Students often see science as something that is dry and unrelated to their day to day lives. This Science World subscription will provide them with thought provoking examples of science in their daily experiences.
I plan to have students use this resource to report on current science issues on a weekly basis.
On Wednesdays in science we have SSR or sustained silent reading. Many students come to class without books of their own and visit my student library for material. This would enrich my student library with interesting, science related topics that are written on their reading level. I feel like a love of reading develops when students have access to interesting material
