Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students love science, but unfortunately, science takes a backseat to math and reading. I want to give my students every opportunity to engage in science concepts. When my fourth graders go to fifth grade next year science is going to be STAAR tested. I want my students to start building the knowledge they’re going to need for fifth grade. I am requesting several snap circuits and science games. I bought a snap circuit kit for my students and they loved it. I would love to get more for the class. The science games will be used for center time, indoor recess, intervention time, and early finishers. I also added a visual timer for center time and the “I have who has” game that teaches academic vocabulary used in science.

Students will be able to check out a STEM activity, and these will help keep early finishers challenged and engaged throughout the day.

These products will help students learn to build, learn to code, learn to think critically, and learn to problem solve all while learning through play and having fun!
