Science Rocks

Help me give my students the materials they need to explore rocks with storage and transportation between the classroom and the lab.

My Students

The students in my classroom are excited, eager learners. They look forward to every lesson and can't wait to practice what they learn. School is one of their favorite places to be physically and virtually.

Our inner city school is facing many challenges that we must overcome to be successful.

My students come from various backgrounds with many families struggling to make ends meet. My students bring these challenges with them. Thankfully, school is a place where they can focus on the fun of learning.

My Project

This project includes materials for students to study rocks and minerals. Having these materials will give students a hands-on experience with the content from our standards. Students will be able to explore igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks.

Students will use the materials to see firsthand what the types of rocks look like.

With the rock samples, students will be able to determine the type of rock they are holding by using their newly learned rock identification skills. The project is also asking for a cart to make transportation of these and other materials between the classroom and the lab easier.
