My Students

Fourth grade is a great time to experiment with science and the world around us. Fourth graders are learning about themselves and what they are interested in and what makes the world spin.

My group of fourth graders this year are active and eager to learn.

They want to learn and they need the materials to do that. Do you remember your fourth grade teacher? I do, I loved him and all he had to share with us.

My students love their teacher and they eagerly learn all I have to give them.

My Project

We have changed our science curriculum and what we teach. We need hands-on equipment to help our students see how waves work and how electricity makes our lives better. Potential and kinetic energy are amazing to read about, but couldn't we learn better by seeing two metal spheres create heat energy by hitting a piece of paper and burning a hole?! We can read about creating a circuit, but putting what we learn into use will help us retain this knowledge so when we try to repair an electrical outlet we have the knowledge to help us stay safe.

We learn better when we see what we read put into action.

This project will give us the tools to see these new topics and how we can use them every day.
