My Students
At the end of the school year I would like for my students to be able to compete with their peers at the high school of their choice. We are a K-8 school my 8th grade students will move on to their choice of 3 different high schools. Laptops will help them learn the research skills they need.
My school is small town elementary school.
We've had to fight several times this year just keep the doors open due to massive budget cuts.
We have very intelligent students that work hard and are active in many extra actives after school.
Most of our students are from low income families that value a good education and are very loyal to our little school.
My Project
My students will use laptops in classroom research, learning to create emails, power points, and writing commands for our robotic team competitions. We have 5 teams for robotics, our last competition they had to share 3 laptops to write commands and that slowed my most competitive teams to not be able to compete well with the larger schools that have laptops for each team.
My students will be on the same level as their peers as they graduate and move on to high school.
With technology inside our classroom we will not have to share 3 laptops and 4 pads with the other 90 students in our little school.
