This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every child should be given robust and comprehensive reading and phonics instruction that lays the foundation for lifelong reading. This is especially important in kindergarten and first grade. This professional development is research-based and effective in helping all kids, including struggling learners, become successful readers. Your donation will be used for continuing teacher training and access to the curriculum, which in turn will give students access to the world through reading. This will be my second year with the program and it has proven results at our school. This year, every student in my class improved on average 2 years in their reading level. It's by far the best results we've seen at our school and with more training we can continue to excel in teaching.

Reading is a social justice issue.

Students deserve the highest quality reading instruction. This program will help students at our school for years to come and change lives. Thank you for your support!
