My Project
Increasing student learning with engaging materials that align with research-based practices is essential. To ensure that all students in K-6th grade have access to individual lessons that support the science of reading, I am creating a reading resource library for teachers, staff members, and volunteers. In this library, there will be hands-on, engaging materials and activities that educators can borrow and use right away with students to remediate or enrich their phonemic awareness and phonics skills. These interactive activities will help students grow in phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, and decoding words. These essential reading components will allow students to become strong readers.
This reading resource library will make the implementation of research-based reading instruction and learning easier and more accessible for all learners.
