Science Museum Field Trip

Help me give my students an amazing trip to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI).

My Students

My classroom is a wonderful place filled with hardworking students and staff. Every day, I fall just a little bit more in love with their amazing hearts and smiles. Each child has an individual education plan to help them make progress on goals in functional academics, behavior, life skills, communication, and functional life skills.

My students are full of curiosity, energy, and incredible potential.

We focus on the positive and celebrate every success that they achieve. Each day I do my best to make sure that they have the necessary tools to succeed, but it takes a lot of equipment and materials to help meet their unique needs.

With the help of DonorsChoose.org, I am able to provide unique and engaging materials to help my students, who experience a variety of disabilities, overcome their challenges and let their abilities shine through.

My Project

My students learn best with hands on activities and authentic experiences. Taking a field trip gives them a chance to explore and be exposed to a variety of new learning opportunities.

I would love the opportunity to take my students to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) where they can learn how Pixar movies are made, ways to save energy with "human" power and so much more.

In addition they will also be touring a real submarine that is next to the museum in the river!

They will not only learn so much about science, they will also be using social skills and communication skills which are so important to individuals who experience Autism. Thank you for considering this project.
