Science Materials Needed

My students need an aquarium to study animals for science.

I teach second grade in a high-need, title one, inner city school. I teach all subjects.

Due to a lack of funding, most of the supplies we have are for either math or reading. We lack supplies for science, and this is the subject my children are most interested in.

I feel that my class would get a lot of hands-on experience by having an aquarium in the classroom. They would be able to observe animals in a water habitat, as well as take on the responsibility that goes along with having a class pet.

You would be giving my students an opportunity to have a hands-on experience that they would not be able to obtain by looking at pictures in a text book, which would be an incredible learning tool for them.
