This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Prior to creating this project, students in the self-contained class were engaging in the 6th grade science unit using makeshift or leftover materials from different grades.

Because the needs of the students in the self-contained class are unique and specific to the classroom, having our own Science corner with brand new materials will create an authentic excitement for learning as students embark on the upcoming new 7th grade unit.

Students will have all of the materials necessary to engage in a hands-on learning experience which will further strengthen the different modalities of learning that educators can provide students!
