Science Materials For The Mystery Science Curriculum

My Students

The students in our room are enrolled at an elementary school in Reno, Nevada. The culture of our school is special, and students maintain a high level of academic achievement, gain ample opportunities to work with the arts and have built a pretty amazing culture over the last 50 years.

In our room, students work hard and strive to be on a path to college, career and civic readiness.

All students enjoy working with challenging and complex materials that ensure academic and social success.

My Project

This project is about getting all of the necessary materials to allow for Mystery Science to take off in the classroom. These include magnets, rubber bands, toothpicks, paper, buttons and piper cleaners. With all of these items, the students will be able to take advantage of every Mystery Science lesson.

Mystery Science is a well-regarded curriculum that has students fully integrating STEM--Science, Technology, Engineering and Math--outcomes in the classroom.

The curriculum is matched to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the Nevada Academic Content Standards (NVACS).

We know that science matters and your donation will ensure that students have frequent opportunities to "do" science instead of just reading about it.
