My Students

This year I have about 31 students in 4 different science classes. Students expect to see a phenomenon that dazzles and helps them retain their learning. These 6th-grade students are learning to apply their science knowledge and experience the world in a new way. These students love to learn with hands-on examples and experiments.

My Project

Students learn best when hands-on experiments are available for them. By creating their own models, students will retain and even keep these models for years of learning. These models will help students to create and build models based on the solar system, heat transfer, ecosystems, and more. Building insulators, weather tools, and tools to work with ecosystems are just the start for these students. The 3D printer and filament supplies will help create a valuable pattern of learning and exploration in our science class. Students will have the chance to literally build and create their own learning!
