Science: Life Around the World

My students need specimen viewers and science set materials for experiments.

I work in a high need, urban school district. Many of the students enter 5th grade knowing little about science. As 5th grade math & science teacher, it is my job to bring the scientific world to life and create life long lovers science.

My school has textbooks for teaching science. Sadly however, that's about all we have. We don't have many of materials needed for experiments.

We need samples of bacteria and fungi to look at. Students need to understand just how small a cell is as well as how they grow. My students also need goggles to keep them safe when working. My students also need to understand how machines work. What better way to do that than to build machines? They will discovery lots about motion, gravity, and focus.

Your help will ensure that tomorrow's leaders understand the scientific world around them.
