Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are practicing thinking and acting like real scientists every day. They are so brilliant at investigating their science questions to figure out how the world works. They are curious, and always looking for new challenges to conquer. I am lucky to have such inquisitive, fun, and kind students.
My Project
My students are amazing young scientists. They are doing an stellar job developing their science practices, from asking questions, to analyzing data, to developing their own models and explanations.
Students have asked for science books so that they can continue to develop their science knowledge independently.
I want to honor their curiosity and their dedication to becoming science experts. I have selected a variety of fiction and nonfiction books that feature a diverse collection of stories. I want students to read real life stories, like the history of Henrietta Lacks, so they can learn about the history of science and the things we are still improving within our community. I also want them to explore the vast possibilities of science by reading engaging and fun fiction.
Help me give my students books so they can deepen their science knowledge, even outside the classroom.
