My Students

Students need to be actively engaged in order to truly learn a subject. My students want to explore science through hands-on learning.

My students are curious and excited about learning.

Our school has seen drastic cut-backs in funding over the past several years. We are in need of the science kits to put the supplies in the their hands so that their curiosity is encouraged and not stifled. By using a variety of science kits, the students can explore many different areas of science. Through this exploration, I hope that they will be inclined to pursue science careers.

My Project

Imagine a classroom that is full of energy and excitement. There is a buzz of chatter in this room with students excited about learning. This is how my students will spend 45 minutes of their day with your help. The kits will provide all of the necessary materials for the students to explore science topics of their choice. The students will use the electricity kits, chemistry kits, DNA kits, flight kits, and invention kits to explore science through hands on learning. Students are curious by nature. By helping to supply these materials, they will be able to develop many different technologies. They can experiment which design is better than the other. The students will work in small groups to complete the task assigned to them by the individual kit. The different kits being requested are all of areas my students have shown interest. Can you hear the buzz of chatter yet? We need you help to make it happen!

I am hoping to instill a love of science, technology, engineering, and math with my students.

It is my dream that these students feel so connected with these topics that they will want to explore these topics in high school, college, and as careers.
