My Students

I teach the most amazing students! They are hard-working, polite, and considerate of others. One challenge we face is providing rigorous activities for them to participate in. For too long, we have asked them to not interact with equipment and supplies due to the COVID pandemic. I am ready to get them back to doing labs, and participating in authentic scientific investigations.

I have had many students return to visit from the high school level and share how much they learned during 8th grade science.

My Project

We have to have more equipment and supplies so that there is more accessibility to students. More students will be able to perform labs instead of just watch demonstrations. Often, students are forced to work in large groups due to the lack of supplies.

The sterilization cabinet will help us keep our goggles clean and safe for our large number of students each period.

Without the cabinet, we are forced to clean the goggles by hand with wipes. This takes up precious time and money for the wipes.

The other supplies will replace broken items and increase the number of items available for student use in the classroom.
