My Students

My students light up during science because they love to interact with the materials and learning new things about the world around them. I'm excited to introduce another group of students to the world around them by using the materials to build a firm foundation of understanding for investigations.

Our school community is like a family.

The students are eager learners in a rural area. The parents are extremely supportive, but do not always have the financial means. Teachers use their personal funds to supplement what is needed to create meaningful, engaging lessons. The students show their gratitude by working hard in class and actively participating. Even with the challenges, their is not a better place to have a positive effect. That is why I love where I work.

My Project

We will use the Time for Kids subscription to supplement our science curriculum by integrating reading skills in with scientific articles written on a level for them. We will use the glue sticks to keep our learning resources in interactive notebooks where the information can be reviewed later. We will also use the interactive whiteboard as a resource to help us understand difficult concepts in a supportive, guided environment.

A donation to this project is a chance to show students how amazing their world is and to spark the interest of a child into the world of science.

The resources can inspire a student to want to learn more about their world. It could be what is needed to spawn the next great scientist or inventor. Your donation is a chance to inspire the next generation to dream.
