This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are full of curiosity and questions. They love to learn and explore the world around them. Our school is Title I and many students are English Language Learners. They learn best with hands-on experience. We need materials to help us explore.

My students' excitement for learning is contagious.

My students come to school every day ready to learn despite hard living situations at home. I want to honor their commitment by helping them have the supplies and resources to help them succeed.

My Project

My students will use the energy conversion sets to help us explore the different types of energy sources. My students need to understand different types of power sources in a circuit. Many of my students do not know about the different types such as solar, wind, and hydro power.

Being able to explore with mini models of energy sources will give my students confidence in their knowledge of power sources.

My students will benefit from being able to make their circuits work with different power sources other than batteries. It will give them a better idea of how energy is produced in the world.
