it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello all. I am a kindergarten teacher in a high poverty area in northern California. My school is rich with diversity and culture. We are in need of many supplies, but science is one need that is very great in our school. WE LOVE SCIENCE!! I mean, who does not? Calling all science majors!!!
Our school does not have extra money to spend on extra supplies for the classroom.
I usually end up paying for most of the extra supplies in my classroom. The obstacle is simple or not so simple at our school. We do not have a PTA fund with extra money and in California there is a severe budget cut to our schools. We need supplies desperately for this year and the next. These science text books, posters and insect specimens will enrich students lives for years to come. They will get to see and read and explore books on insects and spiders. They will also get to see huge posters, specimens of insects, and explore hands on science! I know these books and specimens, posters and various science supplies will be very beneficial to my class now and for years to come.
My Project
The resources are simple. We need fabulous beautiful science books and supplies that will enrich their hands on learning projects and supplement their learning of insects, spiders, and also included are some insect specimens and posters to look at...wow! I am also requesting some posters to go along with the books. How cool!! Thank you so much for helping out a high poverty school with little resource. We thank you!!!
