This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager and enthusiastic learners learning in two languages-Spanish and English!
My students are part of the Spanish Dual Language Program in a Title I school .
They encounter many challenges in their community, including being surrounded by gang and drug activity. Yet, they come to school ready to learn about the world that surrounds them not just in one language, but two!
My Project
The collection of books will be a valuable addition to our small classroom library. My students will use the science books to increase their knowledge of animals and habitats. They will be able to read, discuss and write about animals that inhabit our world.
