This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Going into my 4th year of teaching, I know that I made the right decision beginning my career as a Science Teacher. Teaching a wide range of students from 2nd to 8th grade, I have learned so much from the youngest up to the oldest. In a sense, we are all teachers to each other.
What I love most about my students is that they make the best of what they have.
We may not have the best and most advanced resources in our science class but what I am able to provide them with, we make the most out of.
With your help, my students can be exposed to the best there is and learn in a fun and engaging way.
My Project
These materials will provide my students with a much needed change in the environment setting in our classroom. The lab table will now give them an opportunity to better perform our hands-on projects and experiments in a much more comfortable way that promotes a love for learning.
Feeling the warmth and comfort in a classroom makes for a productive learning environment that I hope will encourage my students to perform at their very best.
They will now also have a designated reading area when rotating during our station labs where they can focus on the articles with their group members and engage in even more learning.
