Science here! Science there! Science toolkits go everywhere!
Help me give my students some of the science tools they will need to be successful at home e-learning or in the classroom. The toolkits in the Pencil Boxes will enhance their e-Learning experience!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a wonderful class of six year old students who come from a variety of countries, mostly Hispanic in origin. We are a Title 1 school with over 80% of our students in the low income/high poverty category. They are excited to learn, but have limited opportunities to have authentic practice in scientific discoveries even during a non-COVID world.
Since at least for awhile we will be learning at home, my students will need a science toolbox with tools to help them with their science discoveries.
I want my students to develop their scientific skills through hands-on activities and discoveries. Hopefully, this will allow them to be more successful in any of their future endeavors, including a potential scientist who may help in future pandemic situations.
My Project
We all know kids learn best when they are working hands-on to discover the answers to the questions this world has to offer. By being able to send home science toolkits to my students, with the tools they need to see and learn for themselves, they may one day end up helping to solve future world problems!
My students will need to be able to use tools like tweezers, eye droppers, magnifiers and measuring devices to explore as a scientist should!
As we start our year in e-Learning, I would like to send home these toolkits so we can get off to our best start.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
