This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students deserve the same opportunities as students in neighboring schools and districts! They have great potential! Many of my students have personal struggles and tragedies to deal with outside of the classroom. I like to call our school a gem in a neighborhood that desperately needs it!

Our school is a safe place for students, and the majority of students love being in class virtually!

My students are eager to explore the world of science using the new curriculum. They are eager to explore the simulations and readings. What I love most of all is that they are my personal scientists.

By having access to the right resources, supplies, and technology, we can close the achievement gap by making sure each student has access to resources at his or her her own level. Nearly all of my students are from low income households. This is why I turn to DonorsChoose.org to advocate on their behalf!

My Project

Legends of Learning provides students the opportunity to play games in Earth, Life, and Physical Science. When students are giving games to play, they will learn a variety of skills such as critical thinking skills and teamwork. Students are able to take assessments on the content assigned to them or a play list created. I will be able to view reports on their achievement and what I need to focus more on. Students will be more motivated to learn the science content. Teachers pay teachers has a variety of virtual activities my students will benefit from.
