This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from inner city in Texas. I teach at a charter school. The students are disadvantage and are surviving all kind of struggles. My students are special because they are students that need a lot of love and attention. They are Pre K students. The have unique personalities and each one is different. My students need science classroom materials to help them explore their classroom environment. Science exploration is something that I would love to have more of for my Pre K class.

My Project

The Science Fun Initiative is a themed lesson that will allow students to explore the various type of sciences. They will work with magnets. Learn about bugs. Explore weather and various rocks. The learners will read literature and make various inventions using different manipulatives. The students will pretend to be scientists using the housekeeping supplies. They will learn about sink and float, and measurement. The learner will sort various rocks and graph them. They will also use a Venn diagram to compare bugs that fly and bugs that crawl. The students will learn how to investigate and form an hypothesis.
