Science For Second Graders!

My students need age appropriate, interesting books about science topics such as Snails, Plant Life Cycles, and A Butterfly Grows!

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Chapman's classroom raised $395

My Students

Science is so important for all kids to learn! These books are all about science topics that are perfect for second graders!

My students live in a high poverty area of Washington State.

My students are wonderfully diverse and often speak a language other than English at home. My students typically do not have books at home, and often do not have any exposure to science topics. My students want to learn and grow, and it is essential that I help them learn!

My Project

My students need age appropriate, interesting books about science topics such as Snails, Plant Life Cycles, and A Butterfly Grows! These beautiful books will surely entice even the most reluctant reader into reading about science! These books focus on second grade science topics such as plants, soil, levers, and life cycles. Second graders need to know about how seeds grow, the importance of soil in their lives, and all about different animal life cycles.

Science and reading go hand in hand.

If I can teach science concepts while improving reading skills, it's a double win! My students need these books so they can explore science topics at their reading level.
