This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are young whose come from low-income households. Many of them come with large academic gaps and need to have access to technology. Most are highly intelligent and talented, but do not have the economic resources to access technology. They come to this country with a great desire to learn. Those who have a good academic background, contribute greatly to the class with their active participation and at the same time excite others in wanting to learn as well.

My Project

Most of my students come from low-income households. I would like to provide my students with all the resources that are possible so that they can carry out their project of the scientific Fair. The printer, would help my student to print the information that goes on the exhibition poster.

As part of the Rubric of this project, the students need to meet several objectives, such as: state a problem, do an investigation, formulate a hypothesis, design an experiment, identify variables, collect data and observations, and draw a conclusion.

Students need to make a written report based on the above objectives, and then create an exhibit board with the results and share the results with the rest of the class. Most of the times it is difficult to get a place to print the hard copies and much less in color. The color printer will facilitate to my student the opportunity to print the written report, plus the information that would be on the exhibition poster.
