Science Exploration through Art and Gardening

Help me give my students opportunities to explore the world of hands on science! We are getting into the dirt with gardening and learning how to grow our own food. Through science and art we will manipulate paint and textures.

My Project

The world is an amazing place. Students need time and space to manipulate the many medias of science. In our Growing Lab we will use new ways to grow our own veggies and find ways to increase their growth. When we mix art and science, we can use viscosity, color mixing , mixed media and nature to create engaging mix media displays of creativity. By creating different types of slime and modeling dough, students begin applying their knowledge of science.

Students love to paint, plant , mix, and explore with a wide variety of materials , getting messy and creative helps us learn .

In our Science Grow Lab we want to have unusual projects that set students up for building Science knowledge for a lifetime. The donors choose project will give us more materials to use, create unique learning experiences and support our current science goals.
