My Project

This project is to start a shared science library for 6th-grade students. Selected books are librarian-recommended and will fit in with our NGSS-aligned curriculum.

When asked, 'What science books do students check out?' The answer from librarians was immediately, 'Science Comics!' These Science Comics will join our existing science books on a cart that is shared between five 6th-grade science teachers.

The goal of this 6th-grade project is to engage students in developing background knowledge of science topics through highly visual, entertaining, and accessible literature.
