This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Pre-K class is filled with energetic, fun, and active 3- and 4-year-olds who love to explore. We are located in a beautiful NYC neighborhood with a diverse population. We spend our days learning through play and having lots of fun.

Our science center is in dire need of a refresh, our materials are getting worn out from so much play!

With your help we could make the science center the place everyone wants to visit.

In its current state, our science center does not get too many visitors during some of our monthly units. Our materials have been used so much over the years that we are missing pieces, things have broken, or they are just so worn from play.

Adding some new materials would make the science center fun again! Having human X-rays to use during our light unit would not only teach our kids about X-rays, but also about the human skeleton. Bug, plant, and sea life specimens would let us examine real life items and learn more about them. A motion station and a magnet station would make learning about forces and motion so much more fun!

This can all be possible with your help, so we want to thank you for taking the time to read our proposal and thank you so much for your support.
