This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students in Miami, FL represent a wide variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is a public charter school that specializes in STEM activities. My students love to be actively engaged in their learning and we do a lot of group work and projects. As a science teacher with a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Education, I love connecting science to the real world and try to find as many activities as possible to use them in conjunction.

My students thoroughly enjoy hands on learning.

I strive to provide my students with the resources necessary to learn through experience and their senses. I also like to provide my students with a multitude of resources to enhance their learning and to ignite their passion for science.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance our learning environment by allowing the students to be exposed to a print-rich classroom. These educational workbooks have been chosen with my students in mind. These books will help prepare my students for their upcoming standardized assessments for science by review, reteaching, and clarifying lessons from 6th and 7th grade science.

With these new books, my students will to work at a level and a pace that is best for their individual learning styles.

They will also be able to spark an interest in different science topics. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in science, and this project will only help enrich their experiences in the classroom.
