This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Working at a dual language school, I love to integrate science throughout my curriculum! It makes the learning more authentic for my students and they love being able to make connections across the curriculum. We would love more books to read and explore regarding these topics!

Most students of my class are on a free or reduced cost lunch program.

Despite these circumstances, however, my students love to learn! Even though they don't always have enough resources to practice skills at home, they work hard and I love having the opportunity to reach them and inspire them to reach their biggest potential in the future!

My Project

I would love to be able to have book bins with different categories such as holidays, transportation, seasons, weather, family, animals, space, ocean, plants, etc. This type of library would not only be appealing to my students but organized and informational for their benefit. In addition, I would like to add an iPad so that my students are able to have access to the many books available. By donating to my classroom, you will not only bless my students but a teacher with a limited library; but you will also make a difference in the lives of my students who may not be exposed to various types of literature at home.

The more exposure young children have to books, the better readers they will become, and the higher their potential will be.
