Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come to school each day with bright smiles and open minds, ready to take on the day! They love Science and STEM and are eager to read through books and magazines on exciting Science topics that interest them!
My students are an active, inquisitive, and motivated bunch who thrive when provided with appropriate materials that enhance their learning!
There are many benefits to providing my second and third graders with Science Spin, Scholastic News, and SuperSTEM magazines. First, I will be able to show my students real, relevant, and timely Science articles that will engage them in multiple content areas. Students will be able to learn about Science and STEM in class, and immediately see how the same Science and STEM concepts are used in the real world. Students will be able to work on literacy and content-reading skills by reading rich and exciting Science articles, along with STEM stories that will force them to think and problem solve. Finally, these magazines will help capture the attention and imagination of all students, awakening them to the awesome world of Science and STEM.
