My Students

My students are wonderful. They are full of life and love learning. We live in a rural area, and we all enjoy similar interests. I strive to tell my students that they are amazing individuals and they can be whatever they want to be when they grow up.

We are a family.

We comfort each other, we encourage each other, and we expect hard work from each other. We hold high expectation in a fun and safe environment. We try to forget about the negatives in the world when we are in our positive classroom environment. These students are the future of our area!

My Project

I am requesting some very useful science and social studies bundles to enhance our learning. We lack science and social studies resources that align to our curriculum.

I am requesting the science tubs and social studies bundles so that my students can have hands-on science activities to complete in the classroom.

We often read articles and this will allow us to enjoy science in the classroom while learning. I am requesting social studies bundles with books to go with them. This will be a fun and engaging way for students to learn about various social studies standards. My students are eager to learn and I am trying to find way to make it enjoyable.

We live in Pender County, North Carolina and Hurricane Florence was truly devastating to our area. We missed almost thirty instructional days that we are working hard to make up for. About 25% of our students and staff were displaced after the hurricane and continue to be displaced as we begin our Christmas break.
