My Students
Math and science go hand and hand. This year we need to learn about 3-D shapes. Using hands on manipulatives is very important way to learn and explore. We can use these materials to explore and find 3-D shapes in the world. Children need hands on materials to learn and explore.
We are a public school with limited funding.
The children are eager to learn and enjoy hands on materials. Our school is Kindergarten through Fifth grade. We have about 700 students on our school. I teach a half day program. So I have about 50 students that I teach everyday. We are very busy and need to cover lots of material to get ready for first grade.
One of our standards this year is to learn about shapes and 3-D shapes. My students learn best from exploring hands on materials. We need hands on materials to explore and inquire about. These materials can be used during math or science. The children will need to describe and find 3-D shapes in their world. My students are eager to learn and have fun learning math and science everyday.
