Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students deserve the same opportunities as students in neighboring schools and districts! They have great potential! Many of my students have personal struggles and tragedies to deal with outside of the classroom. I like to call our school a gem in a neighborhood that desperately needs it!
Our school is a safe place for students, and the majority of students love being in class virtually!
My students are eager to explore the world of science using the new curriculum. They are eager to explore the simulations and readings. What I love most of all is that they are my personal scientists.
By having access to the right resources, supplies, and technology, we can close the achievement gap by making sure each student has access to resources at his or her her own level. Nearly all of my students are from low income households. This is why I turn to DonorsChoose.org to advocate on their behalf!
My Project
The Apple pencil, paired with an iPad, will provide me with the means to deliver immediate science support in a complete 100% mobile setting - whether students are learning from home or in school!
Currently, I must be stationed at the front when delivering instruction.
The use of the iPad, along with the Apple Pencil, will allow me to circulate and teach at the SAME time.
During instruction, I can circulate the classroom and provide support without the use of paper and pencil. I can provide support to students I can share my screen to the projector for the whole class to see as needed during instruction while circulating the room.
