This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to have a supply of quick and healthier (but non-perishable) snacks that I can provide my students, and all students at my school when needed. My students have experienced many changes over the past few years. Many of my students and their families are still directly impacted by the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as all the other local global crises this generation is facing. Students often spend more time at school than they do at home and not all are able to bring enough food to get them through the day.

I would like to make sure that when any student needs a small snack to keep them focused on learning we have that available to them, food is a basic need.
