This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are immensely affected by the pandemic. Students did not expect to never return to school this year. They are struggling with completing work. They lack basic supplies like crayons, paper, books, and pencils. They have very limited resources at home. Even the non-tech assignments are not being completed.

My Project

My students are unable to complete school work because they lack basic supplies. I would love to be able to send them school supplies such as pencils, crayons, and notebooks. This would help them complete journal questions. and other school assignments.

My students are at home without materials.

Teachers are working hard to create lessons that do not involve technology and our students are still unable to do them. My students need scissors, glues sticks, and paper to be able to complete the assignments they are given.

I want my students reading every day but I often hear there are no books at home to read. I would like to be able to send my students a couple of different books I know they can share with their families. Reading every day is so important.
